We were greeted at airports, bustled through customs and baggage, driven by expert drivers to our beautiful accommodations and then met each day by knowledgeable and fun tour guides (Joe, P, Sugar, Piak, Pat, Patrick - all great) taking us to the top tourist spots as well as the little known, hidden gems that most non-locals would not know about. With Expat Holidays on the ground, we were able to enjoy our days, immersing ourselves in the culture, history, food, nature and beautiful sites of Thailand, Siem Reap (Angkor Wat), Chiang Mai and finally Phuket. We loved experiencing all the must-sees and at the same time, having local guides at each destination that could take us to more remote, lesser-known destinations, and fill us in on the local flavor, customs, current and recent history of the people, including government, religion, economic situation, traditions and even some of their family backgrounds. Very warm and personal, yet professional at the same time. Not to be missed were the various food tours and tastings in Bangkok, at the floating market south of Bangkok, and in Siem Reap. And learning about the local hill tribes and Lanna cultures (including cooking class), going to the highest point in Thailand, bathing the elephants, and kayaking around the caves in Phra Nang Bay. Did we mention the spectacular Wats everywhere? Wish we were still there, just anticipating our next day's adventures, with Expat Holidays managing every detail in the background. MUST DO ACTIVITY!!!!!!!!!!! - Lenny and the team at Expat Holidays planned us a literal dream come true vacation. We chose to use them for our honeymoon and we cannot recommend them enough! He was always there to answer or discuss any questions or requests we had and went back and forth with us in a very timely manner to help create the trip we envisioned. We went on this tour while in Bangkok and were lucky enough to have Tong as our tour guide. We absolutely loved our time with Tong! He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and made the day with him so much fun! He was very patient with us and helped us take lots of pictures. He talked with us about the culture in Thailand and answered our many questions and he truly made the day such a blast. We can not recommend Expat Holidays, this tour, and Tong enough!!! Wonderful, well planned vacation - I worked with Lenny at Expat Holidays Thailand for about a year before traveling to Thailand. Four adults and three kids <10years (5, 8 & 8) traveled to Bangkok, Cheow... read more Lan Lake, Koh Samui and Krabi over 2.5 weeks. Lenny was extremely easy to work with, very communicative and planned a magical experience for kids and adults. Lenny & team arranged all the transportation inside the country (from internal flights to ferries to multi-passenger cars) as well as all the tour guides and activities. He uses an app to organize all the information into one place and the team updates you with texts though-out the trip to help keep things on schedule. Those details made a world of difference in our enjoyment of the holiday, reduced our stress and allowed us to see several areas.
The team Lenny works with is top notch. The other family we traveled with had their luggage lost/delayed upon arrival to Thailand. Vanda at Expat worked closely with the airline and went to the airport at 1am to try and sort things out which helped us get the luggage a couple days later. Her dedication was phenomenal as was her communication during the whole holiday. Ma Lee was our Bangkok tour guide and was amazing with our children. So amazing that they talked about her the entire trip asking if she could join us in every location. Lenny arranged excellent tours throughout the trip including our food tour in Bangkok. His knowledge of reliable and knowledgable guides took a lot of work out of the planning process for us and made things easy.
Highlights of the trip were the elephant experiences, Rayvadee resort in Krabi, the Jungle House resort and Panvaree resort. All recommended by Lenny and the team. This was the trip of a lifetime and we would do it again with Expat.

The perfect honeymoon - We can’t say enough great things about our Thailand trip planned by Expat Holiday, Lenny & the rest of the team.
From the start we worked with Lenny to... read more plan our honeymoon. He was very professional & helpful when planning our vacation. He helped make adjustments to the itinerary as many times as we needed, to make sure we were satisfied with our trip & staying within our budget.
We started our trip in Bangkok, then Krabi & ended in Phuket. The itinerary was setup perfectly. For example, Bangkok started with a city tour/transportation tour so we were able to learn the city & learn how to get around. Then we were comfortable using public transport the rest of our time there. Our tour guide Luck was amazing, she really made our day fun & was so sweet. She took plenty of pictures of us too! We also did a good tour in Bangkok & had the best experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun.
Our time in the islands was very relaxing. We went to an elephant sanctuary and a boat tour to Phi Phi. Both of those experiences were unforgettable. We really enjoyed both tours & the people who led them. Our Phi Phi island tour even made a special announcement about our honeymoon & ended the day with a sangria toast for us. They definitely made as feel special.
The best part about working with Expat is not having to worry about anything. Vandra was our point of contact during the trip & she checked in with us, sent us suggestions, communicated very promptly if I needed to get ahold of her. She even checked us in for flights & had the hotel deliver our tickets to our room. All of our transportation was booked by Exapt too, we were very impressed with all of our transfers. Everyone was prompt & nice comfortable cars/vans. It was so nice not to have to think of those little details. Lenny also had great suggestions on food/entertainment & other tips/tricks for our location we were in.

Best Travel Experience I Have Ever Had - This review really won't do Lenny and the team justice, because there are no words that could explain the amount of ease, fun, relaxation and peace of mind this trip... read more afforded. Me and my best friend took a 10 trip completely customized by the team which really afforded us an incredible, unforgettable experience. ALLL the tour guides were absolutely AMAZING! Super excited to teach us, take pictures and really create a memorable experience. I am not a good swimmer but in the Phi Phi Island, one of the tour guides held my hand as we snorkeled to make sure I was able to enjoy it. The food tour in Bangkok was amazing and were able to try whatever we wanted! This also included us going to ChinaTown and the flower market. I have NO words about the accommodations --- Breathtaking! The villa in Krabi and the resort in Phuket were some of the nicest places I have ever been - and I travel alot.
The trip was just so easy and planned so perfect. They knew when our flight was delayed and we never had to wait for transportation or anything. The private car on the ride from Krabi to Phuket was so comfortable and accommodating you didnt even feel like you were on a 3 hour ride. Lenny will be planning any Asia trip I take from here on out. Amazing Southeast Asia trip - Our 24 day Southest Asia trip was fantastic. Lenny and his Expat Holidays Thailand team planned our trip and it went off like clockwork. As two couples traveling together, we... read more were looking for flexibility with unique experiences and Lenny and his team did not disappoint. We visited multiple cities in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand by land, air and water. The coordination of our travel was perfect. We were met “on time” by our many guides and drivers. They were always respectful, knowledgeable and flexible even when we made a slight change to our itinerary. Every hotel Lenny selected was not only perfect but were well located and each provided a bountiful and delicious breakfast. Our many experiences included food tours by vespas, tuk-tuk’s and cyclo’s, walking tours, visits to temples, local farms, an elephant sanctuary, unique cooking experiences with local families and boat rides all over SE Asia. We couldn’t have had a more perfect trip and the best part was Lenny built our itinerary specifically for us. He will take care of you." That is exactly what I did, and now I pass along the same advice to all travelers - just call Lenny at his company, Expat Holidays. Everything about Expat Holidays is professional and Lenny, together with his staff, travel guides and drivers are special people who will ensure that you have an amazing and stress free trip. I was impressed from the very beginning, when we worked with Lenny to plan our itinerary, and then throughout our travels to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Khao Sok, and Koh Samui. We were greeted at each destination by a representative, and Vanda made certain that all of our transfers were seamless. We quickly felt bonded to our tour guides in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Malee and Patric, and it was sad to say goodbye to them. They were so open in helping us to understand Thai culture! Spending time with elephants was probably the highlight of our trip, but we did so many other fun and interesting things - toured the Royal Palace, visited the floating market we had seen on TV, took a fabulous cooking class, climbed a mountain. visited temples, stayed in a tree house and at a floating resort, went snorkeling and kayaking in a marine national park, and went ATV riding in hill country. My son and I agreed we had the perfect itinerary for our 2+ weeks trip. We left Thailand feeling as if we had truly experienced the country.

We used his extensive knowledge and creative ideas to sculpt our 12-day trip of a lifetime that included Bangkok, the Kanchanaburi region, and Chaing Mai.
At each area of the trip, we had our own, personal, door-to-door local guide that was a wealth of knowledge and very sensitive to our interests and facilitated a day that was very flexible. Each of our guides quickly became our dear friend and it was difficult to say goodbye to. These guides were available with plenty of advice on local happenings and suggestions for restaurants, special markets, and “must-see” things that only locals know about and off the normal tourist paths. Not only did our local guides take such good care of us, but also the office staff checked in with us each day via text or FaceTime.

First off, I must say my husband planned this trip to Thailand as a graduation gift. We have NEVER used a travel... read more agency before as we always just researched things ourselves and liked the freedom and liberty to do things how/when we wanted. If you are anything like us, DO NOT HESITATE and book with Expat Holidays Thailand. Your itinerary is completely customizable. Lenny worked closely with my husband to create the perfect 18 day itinerary. Lets be honest, I would have used this agency simply based on the fast track immigration feature alone, lol!
We traveled from Philadelphia. When we arrived to Bangkok we were greeted at the gate with a sign with our name on it and directed to fast track immigration and baggage claim. We were then directed to our private vehicle and transported to our hotel. Avani Riverside: Great location with one of kind views from the rooftop lounge!
Our first tour was the following day. We had opted for the private Floating Market Tour. Our tour guide was Keke, and my goodness was she amazing. She tailored the tour to our liking and confirmed our likes/dislikes. We wanted to try everything! And we did just that! We thoroughly enjoyed that the market consisted primary of locals rather than tourists. By the time we were done eating our way through the floating markets, our bellies were full! Keep in mind we did not have to worry about payment for goods as Keke took care of all of that. Talk about convenient.
Our next day we flew to Chang Mai. Keep in mind that Lenny/Vanda made sure that all domestic flight boarding passes were provided at the hotels reception desk prior to check out. Again... CONVENIENT. We arrived to Chang Mai and a private driver drove us to Chai Laid Elephant Sanctuary. THIS IS A MUST! 100% of the proceeds go towards the elephants! Keep in mind the temperatures here at night were in the 50's (F). We had some of the best food in all of Thailand here at the Elephant Sanctuary. I can go on and on about how amazing the Elephant Sanctuary was but my words will not do it justice. If you have the time I would recommend booking their private photographer for morning breakfast with the elephants. Definitely a once in lifetime opportunity which would make for great photos.
The following day we drove back to Old Chang Mai. We stayed at Askara Heritage. The grounds are the definition of "Zen", beautiful room, and great cocktails. At night we explored the night markets and even caught a Muay Thai fight. In 2 days we were off to Krabi. Again boarding tickets were ready for us upon check out.
Once we arrived in Krabi, again a private driver was waiting for us to take us to our hotel, Tubkaak. This boutique resort was BREATHTAKING! The views of all the islands was one for the books. Not to mention the way they decorate the resort in the evening with all lights is magnificent. My husband will say that the best part of this hotel was the fact that he could feed the Koi fish every morning. The breakfast buffet here was also amazing. This resort was about 10 mins drive to local restaurants, and 25 mins to Krabi Town which the hotel provided a shuttle to and fro. In Krabi we opted for a private long tail boat. Our tour guide was Bella. Once again , also amazing (please see separate review). Highly recommend private tour as we personally saw tons and tons of long tail boats with people crammed like sardines. Also highly recommend night time snorkel to view the iridescent plankton.
Few days of free leisure, in which we opted for a hike at Khao Ngon Nak.
From Krabi we took a 3 hour drive to Phuket via private vehicle. I have a small bladder and the driver was kind enough to stop not once but twice for me to use the restroom! We arrived at our hotel, THE SHORE AT KATATHANI. AMAZING! The suite we reserved had us feeling like celebrities. HIGHLY recommend the plunge pool and floating breakfast! After we soaked up some sun and the glitz our room offered we had a private speed tour boat to the Phi Phi Islands. AGAIN absolutely amazing. (please see separate review). Our tour guide was Chris and he tailored the tour to everything we wanted, monkeys, fish, and plenty of pictures. I can't praise them enough for the crew's impeccable service,
That concludes our trip!
Lenny/Vanda put together the most in depth/perfect itinerary custom to us, which we wanted several "free, leisure days". All drivers/transports were on smooth and on time. All payment to parks, islands, markets were all taken care of by the tour guides, which made our experience more enjoyable. All the leg work was done. We didn't have to lift a finger, literally. Prior to our trip we were a bit anxious, and Lenny said "we do all the thinking, you just show up" and that statement could not have been more accurate. My husband and I just "showed up". We wanted a private photographer for our floating breakfasts, we contacted Vanda and she made a call. We wanted Sak Yant tattoos, we contacted Lenny/Vanda, and they made a call! They were literally at our fingertips and easily accessible. Prior to our trip they provided an in depth itinerary and offered suggestions and recommendations, which was greatly appreciated. Everything went so smoothly and exceeded our every expectation. If you're on the fence about booking Expat, do YOURSELF a favor and BOOK THEM! They set the bar so high, we may never want to plan a trip ourselves again. I cannot thank Lenny/Vanda and the rest of the crew mentioned above, enough. The private car on the ride from Krabi to Phuket was so comfortable and accommodating you didnt even feel like you were on a 3 hour ride. Lenny will be planning any Asia trip I take from here on out.
